William E. Flitcraft

William E. Flitcraft, 71, of Elkhart, died at 4:35 am, January 20, 2010 at Valley View Healthcare Center, Elkhart.

He was born August 3, 1938 in Peru, Indiana to Raymond and Audrey (Armstrong) Flitcraft and raised by his grandmother Pearl Crippen. Surviving are a daughter, Rosanna Emilius of Cassopolis, MI; 2 brothers, Darryl Scelzo of Florida and Don Scelzo of Elkhart; 2 sisters, Betty White of Florida and Candy Robinson of Bristol, IN; He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Douglas Flitcraft, a brother, Jack Flitcraft and 3 sisters, Norma Jean Flitcraft, Joyce Ann Flitcraft and Lana May Flitcraft.

Mr. Flitcraft served in the Indiana National Guard for 4 years and was the owner of Bill’s Painting Service in Elkhart for 38 years and enjoyed woodworking.

Visitation and services were held January 25, 2010 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart. Reverend Keith McFarren officiated. Burial was at Rice Cemetery.
