William Michael Hibshman

William Michael Hibshman, 66, of Union, MI., passed away Monday Feb. 3 at home. He was born March 4, 1947 in Elkhart to William C. Hibshman and Elizabeth L. Hodson. He graduated from Concord High School.

Mike was a loving husband, father and grand and great grandfather. He married in December of 1966 to Judith Ann Bricker and had two sons Christopher Michael who resides with Donna Hutchinson and her children Kristina, Brian and Elizabeth, and Matthew Michael (resides with Laura Miller and his daughter (granddaughter TyLee Sea). One daughter Susan Pettit who has son Ryan Thomas Pettit the grandson of William, with one great granddaughter Rylynn Danielle Pettit and great grandson Ryder . He was a loving companion and resided with Merry E. Schieber (her son David and Ericka Schieber and three grandchildren Dustin, Collin and Kennedy) for twenty years in Union MI. He is survived by three brothers Rick (Linda) Hibshman with children Kristi and Josh of Bristol, Daniel of Middlebury and Benjamin ( resides with Janie O’Neal) of Van Cleave, MS.

A loving past time was to visit many Casinos from upper Michigan to Fort Myers Beach, where they also vacationed for the winters. Mike was a wonderful man and a great friend to many. He was a lifetime member of the Cass County Conservation Club, along with The Cass County Shrine Club and many Veterans Clubs with in our community. Mike started Hibshman Screw Machine Products in 1967 in the back yard of his home and continued to grow and employed many people throughout the 47 years of being the president of the company. Mike was an outstanding businessman in Union Mi. throughout his entire life and will always be loved by so many.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held from 4 to 8 pm Friday Feb. 7 at Cass County Conservation Club, Union.
