William "Paul" Templeton

William “Paul” Templeton, 97 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart, IN. Paul was born on July 11, 1927 in Phillipsburg, NJ, to Jeremiah and Laura Templeton. He married Bertha Louise McElroy on November 20, 1948 in Elkton, MD.

Paul loved to serve the Lord, he and his wife attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Elkhart. He retired as a band instrument assembler of the sousaphone and the trombone. Paul lived his life for the Lord and secondly for his loving wife Bertha and their family. Paul honorably served his country in the United States Army.

Paul is survived by his wife of over 76 years, Bertha Louise Templeton; their children, Diane Louise (Richard) Bokovoy of Shoreview, MN., Alfred (Jacquie) Templeton of Terre Haute, IN., Becky L. (Sherwin) Hibbets of Goshen, IN., Laura (Jack) Ropple of Elkhart, IN and Ted (Becky) Templeton of Goshen, IN; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and his sister Marjorie Burbic of Alpha, NJ. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and his son William "Paul" Templeton, Jr. and his siblings, Preston Templeton, Arthur Templeton, Clarence Templeton, Roger Templeton, Florence Fleming and Marie Fox.

Visitation will be held 12pm-1pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 1pm.
