Willie Mae (Brown) Smith

Willie Mae Smith,76, of Elkhart went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2020. Willie Mae was born on December 19, 1944 in Obion, Tennessee to Alfonzo and Hattie Mae Brown.  She worked as a seamstress at Ascott Industries for over 20 years.

Willie Mae is survived by her son, Kenneth L. Brown of Mishawaka and her daughter, Jessica E. ( Johnny) Parker of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Kierra, Jameyron, Jakale, BreAnne, Malik, Markel, Amari and Jaevon; her great grandchildren, Jaydin, Aaniyah, Kyra, Makeo, Jewell, Saige and Kason. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her sisters, Amy Marie “Tootsie” Ervin, Patsy Ann Brown, Gladys Juanita “Pudding” Lancaster and Peggy “Peg” Smith; her brothers, James Clyde Brown and Johnny Mac Brown.

Friends may visit from 4pm-6pm on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514. Burial will held at 2pm on Saturday April 18, 2020 at Beech Grove Cemetery in Obion, Tennessee. Cryer Funeral Home is assisting the family in Obion, Tennessee
