Yom Smith Ean

Yom Smith Ean, 77, of Elkhart, passed away Friday January 20, 2023 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born January 2, 1946 in Thma Puok, Cambodia to Smith Ean and Ye Sok. He married Hong Sok.

Yom worked at Godfrey Marine, CMI and NIBCO. He enjoyed working in the yard, home repair/remodeling, gardening and talking on the phone.

Yom is survived by his wife Hong, daughter Emily Yon (Moeut) Pich of Elkhart and son John Ean of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Jonathon and Chenavy Pich, brothers Chhoum Ean and Yeam Ean. Yom was preceded in death by his son Jim Ean in 2022 and his sisters Chhay and Chom Ean.

Services will be at 1 pm Saturday January 28, 2023 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where friends may visit from 12 to 1 pm. Cremation will follow the service. Online condolences may be made to the Ean family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com
