Zachary A. Talley

Zachary A. ”Zach” Talley, 15, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday Aug. 23 at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Sep. 18, 1998 in Peoria, IL to Jonathan and Brigid (Toland) Talley.
Surviving are his parents Brigid Steinhagen of Elkhart and Jonathan (Keitha) Talley of Goshen, his siblings: Caitlynn Talley, Madison and Ethan Steinhagen all of Elkhart, Kailee and Skylar Stevens and Matthew Talley all of Goshen, grandfather Gary Toland of Elkhart, grandmother Glenda Sue Talley of Illinois, great-grandfather John Flood and great-grandmother Dorothy Toland both of St. Joe, MI. and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Janet Lee Toland,grandfather Paul J. Talley and great-grandmother Janet Flood.

Zach was a sophomore at Memorial High School and was a 2nd Class Boy Scout, Pack 747. He played for Challenger Little League Team and Special Olympics Bowling Team. He loved his animals and baseball. Zachary had a sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. Through all his adversities he never gave up or lost his love of life.

Visitation will be 4 to 8pm Wed. Aug. 27 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where the service will be held at 11am Thursday Aug. 28 with Ray Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joe, MI.
