Nancy Jane Kline

Nancy Jane Kline, 83, of Elkhart, passed away Monday January 2, 2023 at Elkhart Meadows in Elkhart. She was born November 28, 1939 in Elkhart, Indiana to Charley and Tursia Lienhart.

Nancy graduated from Concord High School. She was a huge animal lover, having many horses and dogs and many others. She volunteered for the Elkhart County Humane Society at the Red Barn for many years. Nancy retired from both Elkhart and Middlebury schools after 40 years of driving bus. When she wasn’t serving her community, she greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, antiquing and flea markets.

Surviving are her children Barry (Kelly Smith) Holdeman of Goshen, IN and Barbara ( Jeffrey) Simons of Bristol, IN ; 4 grandchildren, Jennie (Brandon) Maynard, Tony (Kayla) Holdeman, Nickolas (Maisha) Simons and Andrew (Haley) Simons; 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-greatgrandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Lillian Kelly, Marjorie Glanders, Doris LaBrie, Everett Lienhart, Walter Lienhart and Donald Lienhart.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes all services will be private. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Nancy’s family. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date.
