We feel a genuine and abiding compassion for each and every client we serve who is experiencing such a personal loss and grief. At such a time, you should not be worried about details and coordination. On your behalf, we take care of everything according to your wishes. From coordinating the most appropriate overall service, to making sure the flowers are delivered to the graveside. From being there the moments you need us, to allowing you your times of privacy.
Here at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, we take personal care of and responsibility for your loved one throughout the entire process.
We personally walk that final journey with them.
Each of one of us has a personal calling to this ministry of care. We continuously study and train for it, are licensed in it, and dedicate our lives to it.
Donna is a licensed funeral director/ embalmer. Donna is licensed in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. She is married and they have a daughter. They attend Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka. She is a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge #599.
Steve is licensed as a funeral director and embalmer and has been with the funeral home since 1973. They have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He enjoys walking, biking, golf and pickleball.
Ray began working for Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home in March of 2010. He is an integral part of the day to day management of the funeral home and a licensed insurance agent and helps with our pre-arrangement program. He was born and raised in the Elkhart area and currently resides with his wife in Elkhart. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He attends St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bristol.
Jay began assisting the funeral home in April of 2014 working part-time with visitations, funerals and other various tasks. He is a busy retiree having spent most of his life in serving capacities. Jay is an active member of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church. He sings tenor with Quartet plus ONE and enjoys gardening. He initiates conversations with almost everyone around him with his humor and friendly disposition.
Rosanne joined the funeral home staff in September of 2018. She recently retired from Elkhart General Hospital as a unit secretary.
She is married and enjoys spending time with grandchildren, family and friends as well as boating and traveling. She is active in her condo community and is a member of the Catholic faith.
Sally is a licensed Advance Funeral Planner. Originally from Chicago. Sally now resides in Elkhart. She is very active in the community educating residents on the importance of planning ahead. She also works with veterans and local senior care facilities.
Linda works as our Administrative Assistant. She received her Bachelor's degree from Indiana Tech. She has lived in Indiana her whole life and currently resides in St. Joseph county. Linda is a dedicated mom to eight kids. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and loves to travel.
